Sacramento, San Francisco Budget Rallies

Sacramento State held their budget rally yesterday. From the Sacramento Bee coverage:

President Alexander Gonzalez told an audience of 350 at California State University, Sacramento, that the proposed cuts would hurt students and the local economy.

"It is about access, it is about affordability, it is about the future of the state," he said.
Our own CSUEU President Pat Gantt is quoted in the Sac State report of the event:
California State University Employees Union President Pat Gantt added that cuts to the CSU budget will harm all Californians. "CSU is part of the American dream because without a prepared workforce, California cannot move forward," he said.
San Francisco:
San Francisco State had their budget rally Monday. CSUEU Chapter 305 President Russell Kilday-Hicks was interviewed by local radio station KPFA; the report aired at least twice. From the student paper Golden Gate Xpress:
Over 700 SF State faculty and staff members sat alongside students Monday afternoon in McKenna Theatre to listen as faculty union representatives, state Sen. Leland Yee, Associated Student President Claudia Mercado and SF State President Robert A. Corrigan addressed the proposed budget cuts that the California State University faces.
