CSU San Marcos held their Budget Fight-Back meeting today. Interim Chapter 321 President Michael Geck's report went out to the CSUEU Board of Directors this evening:
We conducted our "Budget Advocacy Hour" today and got coverage from two of our local stations, News 8 and Univision. You can find the coverage from News 8 here: http://www.cbs8.com/stories/story.120590.htmlThe Alliance for the CSU site now lists 4 Campus Budget meetings scheduled for this Thursday, March 13: East Bay, San Bernardino, Monterey Bay, and Northridge. Please do attend your campus budget meeting.
I haven’t seen anything from Univision yet. The San Diego Union/Tribune will be running an article tomorrow.
CSUSM President Karen Haynes, CFA Chapter President Janet Powell, ASI President Caitlin Gelrud and yours truly took turns speaking at an hour long event that had at least 300 people in attendance, a pretty good turn-out for little CSUSM. I’ll keep you all posted as info becomes available.
Peace,
Mike Geck
