The CSU Board of Trustees has sent out its notice for the July 7, 2009 Trustees meeting.
At 10:00 a.m., the Committee on Collective Bargaining will meet in closed session. After lunch, the Committee of the Whole will meet to hear a Report on the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 Support Budgets and Possible Measures to Implement the Support Budget.
The summary for that report, provided in the published agenda, states:
The latest information on the support budget will be presented.
Options for operating the California State University system with an unprecedented projected $584 million reduction in the support budget will be presented in order to inform the Board of Trustees and seek input from the members of the board. The guiding principles in discussing mitigation measures with CSU’s labor groups and others are to serve as many students as possible without sacrificing quality and to preserve as many jobs as possible.
