Report Any Mention of Programs to Avoid Layoff

We are hearing that some managers are encouraging employees to take some sort of voluntary cutback to try to prevent layoffs.

If this is happening on your campus, we need specifics: which campus and which department(s)? Please send the information to Teven Laxer, Senior Labor Relations Representative at headquarters. If you'd rather email Unit 9 Chair Rich McGee at rmcgee@csusb.edu, he'll forward the information.

As a reminder, always let your chapter officers and your bargaining unit chair know if you hear a manager say anything about layoffs, including voluntary programs to avoid them.
