New SDSU President to Make $350,000+

In addition to raising student fees by 12% today, the CSU Board of Trustees voted to pay Elliot Hirshman, the newly appointed president at San Diego State, more than $350,000 annually.

That amount doesn't include his housing allowance (Home paid for by SDSU)

or his car ($1000/month for a car allowance)

or the $40,000 paid to him annually by the Foundation

or his relocation expenses (Moving to California from the East Coast)

or the objection letter to this compensation package that Gov. Brown sent to the Board of Trustees.

You can read more of this story in SDSU's student newspaper, The Daily Aztec, along with the Governor's objection letter.
